In this section of "Lush" by "Natasha Friend", Sam is a thirteen year old girl that is going through a tough time with the problems at school, and the fact that her father is an alcoholic. While Sam is is going through these problems, she comes up with an idea to pass notes to a total stranger for advice. This stranger turned out to be nothing Sam was hoping for. Leaving Sam feeling hopless, and confused. She tries to manage making her way through highscool, at the same time, trying to keep her family from falling apart!
